HSEQ Officer

We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our busy Health and Safety team. The desired candidate will co-ordinate and administrate the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities throughout the company. Assisting the HSEQ Manager to develop, operate and maintain registered Integrated Management Systems for HSEQ operational control and reporting to both internal and to external agencies. Working with the HSEQ Manager to ensure compliance with current legislation, company policy and procedures, work standards and codes of practice. Whilst the role is based at our Head Office in Buckinghamshire, travel to sites across the UK is required as a part of the role.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Document Management – Responsible for updating and maintaining the relevant HSEQ documents and registers on the company database system
  • Assisting the HSEQ Operations Manager in providing all company employees, and where required appointed contractors, with the necessary advice and systems required to operate safely and effectively
  • General HSEQ Administration Duties including:
    • Updating and maintaining training records/competencies
    • Ordering and issue of PPE
    • Maintenance of company tools and equipment registers
  • Assistance with the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires for potential clients
  • Requesting, coordinating and recording the validation documentation for potential and approved contractors and suppliers

Person Specification


  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems
  • Experience of Document Management Systems
  • Understanding of Health, Safety and Environment activities and processes
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software


  • Previous experience within the renewables or electricity sector
  • Previous experience of database integration or implementation would be advantageous for this role
  • Health and Safety Qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely
